BXO treatment... Page 17 of 20

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Just wanted to post a little update.

I started this "treatment" in November 2015 and thus far I have seen great improvements on my foreskin, I have very little white parts now as opposed to pretty much everywhere back in November and I have pretty much stopped the treatment (maybe once or twice a week) due to the progress I've made.

I just want to thank dfrance for this, as it makes my situation look optimistic (I have very tight foreskin and the BXO did not help).

I have also stretched using various methods and the diameter of my hole has increased quite significantly, it's still very tight but I'm making progress at the very least.

I just want people to realise that this treatment is not immediate and it may take months to show results.

Hi everyone,

I posted a couple of times on this thread a few years back, and found the TTO to be quite helpful.
However, I've since found something that is showing results beyond what the TTO could do for me.
A few months ago I was searching for alternative treatments, and came across a thread somewhere where someone had mentioned that they'd had good results with a skin cream containing vitamin D (can't remember who or where this was but thank you!) After another quick search I found a vitamin A & D ointment made by Fougera - I believe a fairly well known brand in America, although I had to buy from Amazon to get it to the UK.
This stuff seems to be working! I'd gotten to the point where TTO was no longer having any effect, but the Fougera is still working. Since I've started using it my white ring has thinned out to the point of almost not being able to feel it; I'm still using it and hope this progress will continue.
From my testing I've found that 1 application a day is enough - 2 seems to actually slow things down a bit and any more than that seems to actually thicken the white ring, but keeping this in mind by all means do your own testing to find the best amount.
It has none of the downsides of TTO - doesn't smell, is thick enough that you can just apply it and get back to what you're doing without worrying about it dripping into your underwear, and doesn't damage the skin at all.
I seriously recommend everyone try it, especially if you're at a dead end. It would probably also be a great help to anyone still using TTO and wanting something to help heal the skin.
And it's inexpensive - I got a 4oz tube for approx £6/$9.
I don't have any patches on my glans, so have only used it to treat the phimotic ring, but if we are to believe that the two share the same cause then it should work on the glans as well.
And if anyone wants an easy way to stretch out your foreskin, I'd recommend silicone ear stretchers - buy one in every size and as long as you do it after the ring has gone or mostly gone, it shouldn't be painful - I stretched mine out before I had started treating the ring or even realised it was abnormal, and so experienced a lot of pain and tearing - don't do what I did!

I'll pop back in a bit with an update on how the Fougera is working out. I really do recommend you all try it, and hopefully it'll work for you too!

Posted by Piet80 "Does anyone have experience with or know anything about carbon dioxide laser treatment for men with LS / BXO? I couldn't really find anything negative said about this treatment, but I could find the extract of a paper on the outcome of a trial in which it was deemed fairly successful: "Is carbon dioxide laser treatment of lichen sclerosus effective in the long run?"

I did some research on this topic time ago and it seems that it may works at some degree but at the price of scarring the glans. I think is medically used as a last resort in long-standing cases but you could probably do this procedure privately. Honestly I would try some other alternatives before literally burning the glans.

Hi guys I've been following dfrances method for treating my BXO, I have it only on the ring around my foreskin it is white, hard and up until now has been peeling and loosening. Before this I had no problems retracting when fIaccid but found the tight ring too tense to pull back when erect. It's been about 3 and a half weeks since I started the TTO and DMSO but up until about 4 days ago it's became very painful and swollen almost as though it had been filled with water and it's so painful I can hardly retract without excruciating pain and it's worse than ever!! It's as though it's split at one part and swollen into a red sore. I'm 18 and really have little knowledge about it other that what's on this forum and other online sources so would seriously appreciate some help as this really worries me I've read up about circumcision and atm it's looking the only successful option as I'm sick of sticking to treatments and them not working.

A reply would be so appreciated

goldspanner, how did that Fougera work out for you? I have not been officially diagnosed with this dreaded disease, but have all the symptoms. Doctors don't really know what to call it but the head of my penis is almost half white with thin crinkly tissue covering raw red areas. The skin on my shaft looks pale and feels like plastic. I hope there's a way back from this.

Recently had circumcision as I had terrible phimosis since early teens(now 28). My doctor is having me do reconstructive/grafting of the urethra due to BXO being present throughout the urethra.(urinary problems for the last few years).

Wondering what type of diet is best to switch to long term to help keep the bxo at bay and never go through this again.

Im fond with the circumcision its not that big of a deal to me but doing this urethral surgery blows and never want to deal with it again, any help is appreciated.

I had BXO in the past which developed the white Phimotic ring. I was able to clear that up last year using dfrance's method of TTO, DMSO, Emu oil, and red clover.

I have been cleared of BXO for about a year, but now i think it is slowly returning in a different form. Instead of a white ring, I am getting tiny white dots on the underside of the foreskin. Very tiny, probably 1-2mm in size. But overall, my foreskin looks great and healthy with no ring.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

Hey - I had pretty much cleared mine up and slacked off on the treatment. I started noticing bxo in the inner edges of my urethra and my hole got a little smaller & less elastic. It appears it's back but doesn't seem to be anywhere else. Restarted treatment but can't see how far in it goes. Last time I could see pink a little further in but not this time :/
How did you know you had urethral issues? What were the signs and symptoms?

I'm trying to get tto, dmso, emu oil, and Perrin's inside as far as I can to treat it...
How did you know you had to have urethral surgery? Thanks.

I've been dealing with a mild case of BXO That runs along one side of my urethra meatus, basically raised white skin. Been there for about a year and a half now, not growing, been trying to cure it with all types of natural remedys, perrins creme complete, perrins blend, with little progress. I started the 50/50 dmso and tto yesterday, just noticed on initial application skin seems to swell, no burning or any tingiling, I believe this was bc my skin is use to 100 percent tto as I've been putting it on a little more then a week; only at night usually before I go to sleep and in the morning. I know a majority of the guys here are uncut but has anyone been dealing with this here that is circumcized? specifically on the glans, are you receiving this initial swelling that last for about 30 minutes? My plan is to apply this tto/dmso morning and night if I get crazy irritation which I had a little today [day after first application] I plan to throw on Emu oil overnight, I'll provide update every week.

Also how many times are people putting the 50/50 dmso tea tree on per day, more then 3 times seems excessive, how did people put it on six to eight times a day without getting seriously burned. Let me hear your thoughts

This treatment kicks ass, almost cleared up, been diligent in applying for exactly a month, did anyone have reoccurences this treatment other then the individuals already mentioned above?

Hi thanks for all the info!

I started the tto and dmso today the first treatment was OK the second treatment made the foreskin behind the white ring of bxo inflate like a balloon! Is the inflammation normal?

Many thanks

Hi. I've been having big problems with BXO as the rest of you guys. Have been following and using the TTO treaetment, but eventually found out that Creme Complete did the same thing as the TTO: Swelling, skin drying, skin replenishing etc.

It was painful and slow, but I think it worked. It never fully cleared it, as I wasn't persistent. It also interferred with sex alot. Easy scarring, painful etc. After every "session".

2 months ago, I went to an urologist (3rd one), and after self-researching the Tacrolimus (sold in my country as Protopic) I asked him about adivce and a prescription. He said, that Tacrolius was the second line of defense after use of steroids (which I would never touch, having read other peoples stories).

So I got this Protopic cream, and after 2 months (still in treatment) it has worked brilliantly. After only 1 week or so, I could have sex without any scarring or pain at all. It was still just as white, but somehow it got more elastic fast. And now 2+ months in, the whiteness has dissappeared by 50% in color, although not in size. It's getting pink and healthy again.

I wouldn't usually chime in on these threads, as I´m kinda shy with this disease. But after getting so much good advice and help here, I feel I´m obliged to tell my success story and hope this would help others.

Hi All,

Don't usually post in forums but would like to thank dfrance for his solution to this awful disease - been applying the tea tree oil for under 2 weeks and I would say my BXO is %70 gone. I've also been using a herbal oil called Thuja which has been great. I haven't seen much on these forums about it so I thought I'd recommend it. Really stings but worth putting it on once a day IMO.

I'm a 23yo guy and I've had bxo for about 2 or 3 years, it came on gradually in a line until I had a really tight phimotic band which interfered with my sex life/confidence. I know I'm preaching to the choir here but this disease really messed with my mental health.

I went and saw a dermatologist and a urologist who both recommended the standard steroid cream/circ solution. I used the cream for a year and it had virtually no effect on the BXO but made the skin around weak and painful.

I was on a waiting list for the snip but thankfully discovered this forum before. For anyone considering an operation DON'T DO IT these natural remedies work, and will save you hundreds if not thousands on an operation and stupid expensive steroid creams! F%*& the pharmaceutical companies.

Anyone who wants some type of procedure I am putting it on three times a day for 5 days straight then stop, I'll get a peel within the next two days, so 1 peel a week for me, if I do it more then three times a day a for those 5 application days I'll get a peel on the 6th day. 3 1/2 months in, almost gone, wanna make sure I get it all so it doesn't come back, if u get all the white Skin I bleieve it's done, any white skin left after treatment I feel like the bxo skin just comes back,

Hi guys,

I tried this method and used tea tree oil and pharma grade dmso. I just applied it twice but it made my penis swell up very bad. It is very painful and the swelling has not gone down - its been maybe 4 days. I cannot retract my foreskin. Is this normal? Thank you.

Guys I gotta recommend something to y’all.

Water Fasting.

I was using intermittent fasting and just water fasting to lose weight but I’ve also noticed that my body was ridding itself of scar tissue.

Google “fasting” and “scar tissue”

The body has been doing amazing things since I’ve been fasting. Although I don’t recommend fasting if you don’t have some body fat on you already. I have have about 15-20 lbs of fat for my body to consume as fuel.

But google fasting and intermittent fasting and how it helps rid your body of disease and ailments. Sounds insane but works very well.

And when I mean fasting I mean. JUST WATER. No food. No carbs. No meat. No sugar.

Keto Intermittent fasting is about having an eating window (8 hour period of eating, generally low carb/no carb diet) having your body switch from a carbohydrate fuel burning system into a fat burning one. Your brain becomes clear (works of ketones and fat in your body) depletes your body of glycogen and it starts using fat as fuel.

How does this help you and bxo? You will start seeing how your skin becomes healthier, your body usually uses a lot of energy and blood for you to digest. This allows your cells to die off and regenerate (cell death, it’s a good thing) your body starts to search for scar tissue and eats away at it. It’s crazy.

Google fasting experiments on YouTube and read books on fasting such as “the complete guide to fasting” and “keto clarity” not kidding.

I mean what do you have to lose? Don’t want your dick to fall off, give it.a try.

First three days are the hardest, u will get headaches, (switching from carb to fat) but I recommend going IF first (strict) then the next couple of days transition to just drinking water and take it day by day. I’ve read some people go up to 30 days, but I’m not a doctor so do your research and don’t take my word for it.

Also and yes I’ve done the following along with it to help it along

-tea tree oil
-tea tree oil blemish stick
-tea tree oil + dmso
-tea tree oil + emu oil
-tea tree oil face wash (on the head of my dick and face wash)
-dr bronners soap
-manuka honey UMF 15+

I’ve done all the above. It all has helped to some degree or another and I would continue to do so. All the above is important but just as important is your f*cking diet. Sugar f*cks everything up. No sugar. No carbs. Start with intermittent fasting, then fast and watch your body heal itself.

AND

Do the DMSO + Tea Tree oil

I got to the point where the white skin on my glans had disappeared and my foreskin could easily retract and I pretty much would say I was 90 percent cured. But after so much progressed I stopped everything, rested on my laurels. I went back to excessive masturbation , going to sleep without washing myself, using shirts and socks to clean myself up, I ve gotten myself back to square 1. Inflamed head, white skin and phimosis, tight ring.

It’s a constant back and forth battle between progress and letting myself go.

Now I’m going back to my strict diet, I have high blood pressure and I eat like crap, so fasting and being generally healthy again is a big motivator for me.

I don’t want surgery on my dick. I want to keep all my foreskin have a normal sex life. I dont want women to look at my dick and ask me what’s wrong or tell women that my dick hurts because the foreskin is too tight so be careful. Screw all that I just want to have a normal dick for f*cks sake.

My hope is that my tips will help one person out there. If it does, do us a favor and write an update. It’s easy to lurk but I randomly check on this forum every once in a while and it’s good to hear of progress.

Progress happens, I start to cure myself and then I rest on my laurels after I see progress. Don’t give up y’all.

Good luck, try fasting and continue the treatments on yourself.

I also recommend using raw coconut oil as a moosturizer if you’re drying out and hurting, first of all it smells good. Second has some healing properties.

Hi everyone.

I have had BXO since 4 years I guess. I am really scared now about it because my foreskin has covered all my glans and my glans isn't visible at all. The skin has also grown on the earlier white spots on foreskin. Please tell me will I be healed like this?
