Let us hope that Blatta O can help him as it is the remedy that I use for cases that do not respond to the Nat Sulph.

You may be interested in Boricke's reference to it in his Materia Medica which I copy below:

BLATTA ORIENTALIS
Indian Cockroach

A remedy for asthma. Especially when associated with bronchitis. Indicated after arsenic when this is insufficient.

Cough with dyspnÏa in bronchitis and phthisis. Acts best in stout and corpulent patients. Much pus-like mucus.

Dose.--Lowest potencies during an attack. After the spasm, for the remaining cough, use the higher. Stop with improvement to prevent return of aggravation.

Dear Joe
For how long does Mihir needs to be on Blatta as the materia medica says stop when the patient improves to prevent aggravation.

Boricke lived in the early 19th century and at that time the remedies used in Homeopathy were all dispensed in dry lactose pellets as is being done even today by the majority of homeopaths.

It was only much later that Hahnemann's technique of inserting a drop of the remedy into water to make the wet dose was used and I was introduced to it by Dr Luc de Schepper last year when I discovered that the results that followed were far superior to the dry dose method.

You and many others whom I have helped with my own understanding of Homeopathy can testify to the efficacy of the treatment that I use.

In the case of Mihir, we will observe how he responds to the new medication which I will not be too surprised can even cure him. It is still too early to make any conclusions but you will be the best judge on his response and we may have to move him from the direct wet dose to the split dose within a few days if he continues with his improvement.

Please keep in close contact with me and if I do not respond on the ABC feel free to contact me by email so that I can advise you.

I can see that you are over anxious about Mihir. The mere fact that he coughs once at night is not a reason for you to wake up and to give him any medication.

This over anxiety on your part can also bring about problems in his Asthma which are best avoided.

My advice to you is to just let him be without your showing any undue anxiety on your part.

Dear Joe
You are absolutely right and i am trying hard to deal with my anxiety and to a great deal have managed to chnage my self .I was once a very hyper mom but now i try hard to be positive and stay calm when dealing with anxieties and this change in my attitude towards life and particularly towards Mihir's health has made his life easier.I am sure with your help i will be able to overcome this hurdle also.

Dear joe,

i am suffering from asthma since from childhood, now my age is 28 years.i suffer only in winter season. At nights around 1 am to 4 am i becomes breathless and coughs a lot.please suggest me some good remedy.is there any chance to get cured totally from asthma.

To Morphis

Since you only suffer from Asthma during winter I presume that you are not affected by it today.

Blatta Orientalis 6c in the Split Dose taken once daily is your remedy and you can read about how to make it on this thread. It is understood that you will not take this remedy today till you find that you have the usual signs of your Asthma returning with winter approaching.

Keep a stock of Ars Alb 200 in pellets ready to be used whenever you feel that you must use an inhaler. This remedy will open your airways and enable you to breathe in about 10 minutes and stop the attack.

It is possible that in a few months your asthma can be history. However it is best to have the remedy available with you to be used in the event of your getting an attack.

You may like to know that I have many patients who have overcome their Asthma permanently. One of them was OK for about a year but had an attack last week when she had to use the Ars Alb 200. She was too cocky and had not followed my instructions to take the remedy in the Split Dose at least once weekly. In her case she used Nat Sulph 6c as her symptoms were different from yours and she lived in Sri Lanka which has a tropical temperature at sea level although we do have cool temperatures in the hills about 2000M high.

Please read the many posts on this thread for information on the use of Nat Sulph 6c in the wet dose and Ars Alb 200 which you will also have to use for your continuous wheezing.

If you have any questions to ask after you have read these posts please feel free to ask.

Dear Joe!!

His sixth day without inhaler and slept peacefully. Just woke up.Its about 7.30 am. Giving him steam therapy twice and Nat Sulph Split Dose.

Joe, last two days i m giving him a tablet of Ashwagandha twice after meal instead of Nat Phos 6X. It is too early to say anything but the primary results are as stunning as when i started your Nat Sulph for the first time. His sinus is almost clear. His nose clogging is asolutely clear. He is passing the stool regularly and his cold has all but vanished.
I will observe him very closely and keep informing you and take advice from you. But I would also like to share this info with all your friends and with the people in this forum who are dependent on you. Especially with Shiny/Fauzia after whom I was lucky to get your advice for my son.

Thanks a lot!!

In my last post addressed to you I discovered that I had inadvertently recommended that you use Nat Sulph 6c. This is not your remedy as you have indicated that your Asthma is triggered by the cold.

My original prescription of Blatta Orientalis 6c in the wet dose still stands.

I recommend that you start on it immediately as you state that you are already suffering from continuous wheezing and coughing.

Please report response after the day after you use the remedy as recommended.

Dear Shiny,

It was your post which gave me confidence to follow joe's advice and have not regretted the decision ever since. So I and my wife will be more then happy to help you in anyway we can.

The brand that I m giving to my son is Sheetal Medi Care Products Pvt. Ltd, Address: S. No. 59, Dakivali Lohape Road, Tal-Wada, Dist. Thane - 421 302. Regd Office: A-1/1, Veena Nagar, Mulund (West), Mumbai 400 080 Mah (India). The Telephone number is not mentioned on the pack. It is Aswagandha Tablet Only (Not Combo medicine). As per my knowledge even Baidyanath is having a product of Ashwagandha, though have not tried it ever.

I am giving my son a tablet twice a day after the meal (in the morning i have to give it after the breakfast as in the afternoon he does not regularly take meal due to afternoon school). I have started it only three days back but i can tell u it is working for his viral infection, cold, clogged nose fatigue, stool motions etc. For asthma I have not seen anything better then Joe's medicines.
I very sincerely hope that it will work for your son as well and also for fauzia's child. Even if it does not it is definitely not having any side effects whatsoever and also it is not interfereing with Nat Sulph wet dose.

I m not a praying type but these childrens problem make me look up with anxiety.

Thanks

Vijay

Dear Joe,

As per your advise, I have been taking Nat Sulph 6c twice daily, NP 6x after meal and also Arnica 30c twice all at different intervals for the last 5 days

I did not find any difference...I am still waking up in the night panting for breath after 3-4 hours of sleep.

Should I try Blatta O 6c ?

solvin last decade
Yes I agree with you that it is time to change over to Blatta Orientalis 6c which is to be used in the wet dose instead of the Nat Sulph.

Please let me know your response in a few days.

Joe De Livera last decade
It is possible that Blatta O may replace the Nat Sulph therapy for Asthma. It is just that I have used NS for so many asthmatic patients successfully that I favoured it but from the data that you and Shiny have given me and I believe this includes Fauzia too, I may have to change my default remedy for Asthma to Blatta O as it seems to help you all better.

I would not however like you to give Yuvraj 2 doses per day for fear that it may tend to prove the remedy especially since we are using the 6c direct from the bottle. I would prefer that you, Shiny and Fauzia all give their children just one dose of Blatta O per day and let us watch for the results.

Please pass this message to both Fauzia and Shiny ASAP.

Where is Mr.Joe....? How is He ? Hope he is keeping well !

Hi Olvin

Just to reassure that I am OK.

I hope that your Asthma too is under control.

Joe De Livera last decade
Yes Mr. Joe...Gr8 to see u back....

You replied thru datind....and I was worried...

Well My asthma is just the same.....not much difference, actually I caught bad cold last week and so there is heavy congestion.... Taking all types of medicines and inhalation till I get stable... Blatta O will probably show its effect when I completely stop the allopathy.

Could you please advise any particular exercises to keep my lungs from producing mucus and phlegm. I think catching cold is also due to the weak immune system. Just don't understand how to cope up.

solvin last decade
Dear Olvin!!

Sorry to barge in like this, but this is in relation to your question to joe about keeping your lungs from producing mucus and phlegm. I thought I should share my experience.

My son also had the same problem and he still has asthma which is under the supervision of joe. Where do you stay. The reason I am asking is that since last few days I m giving my son ashwagandha tablet which is an ayurvedic medicine and very popular in india. And believe me his mucus, phlegm has stopped completely and also the viral infection is taken care of. I dont know whether it will help you or not but thought of bringing it to your notice.
Please feel free if you need any further help.

Thanks

Vijay

Thanks Mr.Vijay for your concern. The fact remains that I have tried various kinds of ayurvedic medicines, including chywanprash of various brands - All seem to be good for enhancing immune system like vitamins in allopathy.

Are you sure that this Ashwagandha tablets that you gave your son cleared his phlegm...Since how long he had this Phlegm accumulating problem..... Cos my phlegm accumulation is also due to HyperAcidity besides cold allergy...

I just fear that if I these tablets don't create more acidity in me....But I think there is no harm in trying for a week. I stay in Mumbai and so I think I can get your brand of Sheetal Medicare Products

solvin last decade
To Olvin

I was interested to learn that you also suffer from Hyperacidity.

This is perhaps the key to your Asthma as it has been observed by specialists on GERD that many patients also suffer from Asthma.

Visit:
http://www.clevelandclinic.org/health/health-info/docs/3000/...

The remedy is Nat Phos 6x tablets dose 2 tablets taken immediately after 3 meals daily.

Please report response on both your gastric and asthma after you use the NP.

Hi Mr. Joe,
I was reading your posts relating asthma. I saw that to many patients with asthma from the childhood you were using Nat. Sulph. or Blatta Orientalis in wet dose.

I am interested in homeopathy, and learning it myself. According to Hahnemann, Chronic diseases which run for many years need a different approach. He develeoped a differnet potency, ie LM potency System and Uses Anti-Psoric or Anti-Sycotic (hereditory) remedies for asthma.

I am curious about Sulphur, which is an Anti-Psoric Remedy, and it has almost all the Indications for chronic allergies, asthma and wheezing.

respiratory allergies (including hayfever);

Aren't the anti-psoric remedies be more effective and long lasting in the cases of chronic asthma. Nat Sulph and Blatta O may act palliatively but asthma may remain latent

Just a Thought
